Product Leader in Indirect Fire
Do you have a technical education and experience in material procurement? We are now looking for a product leader within our operations for indirect fire. In close collaboration with competent and dedicated colleagues, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall aspects of projects that strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces and Sweden. Your work is significant at every step, from needs and ideas to delivery and follow-up.
About the Position
As a product leader, you will have a central and varied role where you support the chief engineer and technical manager with technical assessments of existing and new material systems. You are responsible for ensuring that the systems are system-secure, comply with applicable laws and regulations, processes, and service regulations before handing over to the Armed Forces.
Furthermore, you will work closely with our projects and support them in design-related issues. You will develop a system lifecycle plan where you, together with other experts, assess the status of existing systems. At the same time, you will receive and follow up on change requests, participate in decision meetings regarding changes, and collaborate with other parts within FMV and the Armed Forces. You will also have a role in working groups within NATO and other international contacts.
As part of the indirect fire unit, you will also contribute to the work of both developing and improving work methods and practices, as well as helping to spread knowledge to others within the organization.
The position is based in Stockholm. Business travel occurs both domestically and internationally.
About You
We are looking for someone who is educated as a university or civil engineer or has equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. The position requires a B driver's license and good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We prefer that you have several years of relevant and current experience in material procurement with a strong emphasis on regulatory control in a technical role. Similarly, experience in the operation and maintenance of systems with significant regulatory control or development, operation, or management of technically complex systems is desirable. Furthermore, we see it as an advantage if you have several years of relevant experience in the development of artillery/air defense systems. Relevant experience in governmental work is desirable but not required.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes responsibility for their tasks, with the ability to drive processes forward in a structured and efficient manner. You plan and organize your work carefully, prioritize correctly, and ensure that deadlines are met. With your perseverance, you maintain motivation even in challenges and work focused until goals are achieved. You have strong collaboration skills and thrive in a dynamic environment, where you listen and relate smoothly to others, communicate clearly, and contribute to a constructive dialogue.
